We are a dedicated group of individuals focused on helping patients and physicians improve outcomes relative to diabetes and hypertension through behavioral triggers with the patients. Through a combination of clinical and social data centered around the patient, we can generate a smarter care plan for our users centered around the total patient. Incorporating social and behavioral influencers along with clinical data from the EMR, and pushing back to the consumer in a very user-friendly way. We are here to transform healthcare by centering on the patient first, but also creating a valuable ecosystem for the physician as well.

Summary of role:

Welby Health seeks a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager of Operations to oversee and optimize our company's operational activities related to our virtual care management programs. Reporting to the VP of Operations, the Senior Manager of Operations will play a critical role in scaling our business, driving efficiency, and ensuring the seamless delivery of our products and services. This role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of technology and clinical healthcare operations, specifically managing chronic conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Operational Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction for all clinical operational functions, including but not limited to, patient support, clinician collaboration, data integration, and the delivery of our programs.
  • Program Management: Oversee the implementation and ongoing management of our technology-driven programs for patients and physicians, ensuring they align with clinical best practices and achieve desired outcomes in diabetes and hypertension management.
  • Data Integration and Workflow Optimization: Optimize workflows for data collection, analysis, and reporting to support effective patient management.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of our solutions into their clinical practice and to gather feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Performance Monitoring and Quality Improvement: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor the effectiveness of our programs in improving patient outcomes (e.g., A1C levels, blood pressure control), identify areas for improvement, and drive quality improvement initiatives.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Ensure that all clinical operations and programs comply with relevant healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices, including HIPAA and any specific regulations related to diabetes and hypertension management.
  • Team Development and Training: Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing clinical operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning. Ensure the team is trained on the latest clinical guidelines and best practices in diabetes and hypertension care.
  • Technology Implementation and Optimization: Oversee the implementation and optimization of technology solutions to support clinical operations, including patient engagement platforms, data analytics tools, and communication systems.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with product to identify features to drive patient compliance, implementation teams to drive patient enrollment, and with customer success teams to drive patient engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management, Business, Finance
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in clinical operations management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within a healthcare technology company or a related healthcare field.
  • Proven track record of successfully scaling operations in a fast-paced, high-growth health tech start-up.
  • Deep understanding of the healthcare industry, with specific expertise in regulatory requirements and reimbursement models.
  • Strong knowledge of clinical best practices, process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma), and project management principles.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decision-making and measure results.
  • Proficiency in using technology and software solutions to manage clinical operations, including EHRs, patient engagement platforms, data analytics tools- especially Looker!, and telehealth platforms.
  • Ability to thrive in a startup environment, with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and a proactive approach.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Digital Health Experience: Experience working with digital health technologies and platforms is highly desirable.
  • Consulting experience or MBA a plus
  • Start-Up Experience: Experience working in a fast-paced, early-stage start-up environment is a plus.
  • Value-Based Care: Experience with value-based care models is a significant advantage.
